Tested in a variety of climates and locations, it carries a durable and tactical suede leather body with tough cordura upper. It is breathable and waterproof. Lightweight and flexible with the highest quality vibram sole. The top 3/4 are speed lace for quick and convenient deployment, while the bottom eyelets are wisely left with conventional lacing eyes to spare mutilation during extended movements. This product is modeled after a boot that the USMC has endorsed as well, not that this affects our decision, but we respect their good sense on at least on this one thing. The US Army is issuing some Danner boots but field trials brought this boot to the fore-front over the standard army issue due to durability and support. Because of its blend of features from comfort, durability to support and overall tactical function this was an easy choice. They may have contracted your berets out to China (Yes, we at RangerMade remember) but we offer no such compromise. Danner's are made in the US by folks who know how a boot is supposed to perform. Although both boots are still being used by other Services, the MCCB (HW) combines some of the best characteristics of both boots into one multi functional item. The significant areas of improvements achieved through the innovative design of this footwear include: infrared and visible light signature reduction, improved shock attenuation, injury reduction, improved traction, and increased comfort. Current footwear technology requirements to improve human system performance have been included, and are comparable to cutting edge footwear technology found in some commercial products. As commercial products generally do not meet the need of the Marine Corps, commercial performance requirements were modified to address the specific needs of Marines in both Jungle and Desert environments. Description: USMC Hot Weather Combat Boot, a hybrid between the old Jungle and Desert boots, weighs approximately 2-lbs. per boot, has a partial speed lace closure system (lace to toe or open toe design), and removable cushion inserts. The boot leather is a breathable, water-resistant, flesh out, mildew resistant, Olive-Mojave shade, with an embossed Eagle Globe and Anchor on the outside heel.
